We look forward to welcoming you to Marshwood and are keen to make your stay with us as enjoyable and relaxing as possible. Julian and I live here with our two children, two cats and two Golden Retrievers.
The cottages are fully equipped, self-catering holiday homes that were converted from the original Victorian stables and dairy when Marshwood Manor was a working farm. The Marshwood Vale is not only an area of outstanding natural beauty but also a very special corner of England that has changed little over the millennia; the small Dorset fields kept the same as they were during the Iron Age. Approached through a swathe of woodland along a private driveway, the cottages are surrounded by hills and fields.
Each house comes complete with everything you need to create your perfect home away from home. Parking for several vehicles is available for group holidays where more than one car is required. Sleeping three, four, five, six or eight, the cottages are in close proximity to each other and may be combined to accommodate up to thirty four people. The six sleeper is located separately along the drive within its private two acre garden.
Available all year round, including Christmas and New Year – short breaks may be booked from two nights upwards except in high season.
Dogs and children of all ages are welcome in every cottage. We have a games room and plenty of room for the dogs to exercise. Each cottage is equipped with high chair, cot and stair gates should they be required.
We hope to see you soon,
Romla & Julian
