Does Marshwood Manor charge corkage?

We do not offer a bring-your-own option at weddings. All alcohol consumed on the premises must be supplied by us in order to comply with our licensing.

What wines can be provided by Marshwood Manor?

This is a bespoke service and you are welcome to chat to our in-house Sommelier. Our prices start at £15 per bottle.

Can guests camp at Marshwood Manor?

There is an area of lawn available for tents pitched by the  glamping companies we work with. Please be aware additional loos may need to be hired.

​

Are dogs welcome?

Yes, indisputably.

​

What time is the cut off time for band/DJ?

Midnight.

​

Are any of the cottages suitable for limited mobility?

Both the Lodge and the Old Forge are on one level, having a maximum of two steps.

Can we use our own suppliers?

Yes. However, caterers not affiliated with Marshwood Manor are unable to use our catering kitchen or rotisserie. For all suppliers not affiliated with Marshwood Manor, the bride and groom assume responsibility for those suppliers' site usage and removal of rubbish.

 

Can the bar be open on Friday night?

Absolutely. We have many suggestions for things to do on Friday evening and Sunday. Do ask us for ideas.

 

Will we need a PA system in the woodland?

Due to the canopy of leaves, acoustics in the Woodland Bower are very good. Previous couples have found no need for a PA system but should you require one, it is included.

 

Is confetti allowed?

Biodegradable, non dyed confetti is welcomed.

 

What are the check in and check out times?

Access to the Marshwood Manor estate for bridal party/suppliers is from 12pm on the Friday. On Sunday, venue hire ends at 12pm but this can be extended.

Who is responsible for clearing up?

All suppliers are responsible for their own clear up. Please refer to our Terms & Conditions document for a full breakdown of responsibility.

 

Do we need a wedding planner?

This is included in the hire price at Marshwood Manor for good reason. Although many couples feel that they might not need this service, we have seen the incredible difference it makes to all involved and, without exception, all of our couples have been blown away by the level of service, peace of mind and how much it added to their wedding.

 

How much is the deposit?

One third of the hire price is required on booking to secure your dates. The second third is due six months prior to your wedding and the remainder is due two months prior.

Can we stay extra nights?

Wedding guests can stay in the cottages on Thursday or Sunday night at a cost of £70pp/pn
